Selection Recommendations
Check lead length, lead count and hole positions against the complete part number: single-color has two 53mm leads, while dual-color has three 42mm leads. Page 3 of the single-color datasheet labels 1 as anode and 2 as cathode. Pages 1 and 4 of the dual-color datasheet describe a common cathode, but the center lead on page 4 is labeled ANODE. The manufacturer must resolve this conflict before wiring; lead length must not replace a polarity diagram. Both datasheets specify a lead soldering limit of 260℃ for 5 seconds, with solder joints at least 3mm from the bottom of the encapsulant. Complete lead forming before soldering.
