Selection & Application Guide
The 5mm RGB full-color lamp packs red, green and blue chips into one epoxy body. Its four leads are the common terminal plus the three R/G/B electrodes, and PWM dimming mixes up to 16 million colors—a classic solution for ambient lighting, decoration and multi-color status indication in a single position. Before ordering, confirm the wiring configuration: common cathode (shared negative) or common anode (shared positive); the wrong type cannot be driven by your controller. Hongcheng Optoelectronics keeps both configurations in stock, bins each of the three chips by chromaticity, and pays special attention to the tri-color brightness ratio so mixed white light shows no cyan or purple cast.
