Selection and Application Guidance
The 5mm RGB full-color LED encapsulates red, green and blue chips in one body. Its four leads comprise a common terminal and three R/G/B positive (negative) terminals. PWM dimming can mix 16 million colors, making it a classic multicolor solution for ambient lighting, decorative lighting and status indication. Confirm the connection type before ordering: common cathode (shared negative) or common anode (shared positive). Reversed connections prevent the controller from driving the LED. The three chips receive individual chromaticity BIN sorting, with particular attention to the brightness balance among the three colors so mixed white does not lean cyan or violet.
