There are several types of LED beads

The three types are: direct insertion type, surface mount type, and high-power.

The direct insertion type includes single color, dual color, and even three color full-color LED beads for models such as 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 8mm, and 10m. Many include circular, square, elliptical, straw hat shaped, and piranha shaped.

High power includes simulated lumens of 1 watt, 3 watts, 5 watts of LED chips and integrated LED chips of 10 watts, 20 watts, 30 watts, 50 watts, 60 watts, 70 watts, 80 watts, and 100 watts, 200 watts. These lamp beads are commonly used in our daily lives.

Lamp beads are made of semiconductor materials, and their applicability is limited because the LED chips of each unit are 3 to 5 centimeters square, so they can be made into various shapes.

LED chips use a low-voltage power supply with a supply voltage between 2-4V, which varies depending on the product. Therefore, it is driven by a safer power supply than a high-voltage power supply, especially suitable for public places.

LED beads can change color by changing the current, and light-emitting diodes can be easily modified chemically to adjust the band structure and bandgap of the material, achieving multi-color emission of red, yellow, green, blue, and orange.

The brightness of LED chips varies, and their prices also differ.
